LPL Financial announced that an advisor team has joined its broker-dealer, registered investment advisor and custodial platforms from Lincoln Financial Advisors, where it had about $150 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets.
The team, which operates as Hoff Bujnoch & Associates, is led by advisors Digger Bujnoch and Joe Hoff. They are joined by a financial planner, Eric Toepfer; two planning assistants, Laura Mahon and Mary Beth Macke; and a practice manager, Amy Buelterman, according to LPL. The firm is based in Newport, Kentucky, and its clients include small business owners approaching or in retirement, LPL said in a press release.
Bujnoch is a former National Football League player who played for the New York Giants, Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, according to LPL. He retired from football in 2010, founded his own practice, then merged firms with Hoff in 2014, according to LPL.
The Hoff Bujnoch team selected LPL for its “enhanced, integrated technology and strategic support,” and the firm’s self-clearing status was an “added bonus,” Bujnoch said in the release.
Bujnoch first registered with Lincoln Financial Advisors in 2010, left for Raymond James in 2013 and rejoined Lincoln the following year, according to his BrokerCheck record.
Hoff has been in the industry since 1986, when he registered with Carillon Investments, and had been registered with Lincoln Financial Advisors since 1991, according to his BrokerCheck record
