Former Wells Fargo Advisors with $240 Million in Assets Joins LPL Financial

LPL Financial announced that it has added a pair of financial advisors to its platform for wirehouse breakaways.

Bruce Pienton and Scott O’Mara have launched Bridgewright Wealth Partners in Grand Rapids, Michigan, by affiliating with LPL Strategic Wealth Services, according to LPL.

The advisors, who were previously with Wells Fargo Advisors, manage a total of about $240 million in advisory and brokerage assets, LPL said.

They’re joined by Director of Client Relations Bradley Day, according to the firm.

The team’s “differentiator” is its “tailored and labor intensive approach, hand-picking every investment,” LPL said in the announcement.

Pienton and O’Mara had been looking for a new firm better suited to support them long-term and zeroed in on LPL after interviewing more than a dozen companies, according to the firm.

“Being independent enables us to really tailor financial plans that have our clients’ best interests at heart,” O’Mara said in the announcement. “With LPL Strategic Wealth Services, we’ll have the tools and resources at our disposal to help clients continue forward without constraints. We’ll be able to build better experiences for everyone — our clients, our team and future advisors who may join us.”

Many advisors at other wirehouses have also chosen to affiliate with LPL Strategic Wealth Services since its launch in 2020, including teams from Merrill Lynch and others from Morgan Stanley.
